April 21st , 2008  BC native Sarah Noni Metzner has been riding to stardom over the last year with her critically acclaimed 2006 release “Daybreak Mourning.” This collection of mult-genre tunes begins to fully express the talent and diversity of this unique songwriter and performer. It earned her a mark on the Canadian scene with mult- awards and nominations, as well as international recognition in Europe and the US. Over the past few months Sarah has been in the Studio with Toronto producer Maury Lafoy (Jann Arden, K-os) recording her newest collection of songs titled “the mansion of Happiness” scheduled to be released later this summer. Selections of both these discs, as well as yet unheard new material, will be captured within the magic of the Galiano Grand Central when her live performance will be recorded off the floor on May 16th. This Live CD will be released digitally alongside the New release in September of 2008. Writing a new vain of art pop music, Sarah takes the folk tradition, and weaves in eclectic elements, improvisation, poetry and storytelling.
